Who is a Guest Author?
A Guest Author is a published author who chooses to partner with and become an Independent Contractor for Universal Write Publications LLC Educational Publishing Program. As a Guest Author, you will decide which area you would like to participate in. We suggest that you visit site locations in your area to minimize travel expense.
What does a Guest Author do?
A Guest Author’s responsibility is to commit two days totaling a minimum of two hours each day assisting students participating in the UWP Educational Publishing Program with the final details and finishing touch of their stories. Your job will be to show these young people who aspire to be like you, why reading, writing, and literature is such a vital aspect of their education, growth and future successes. As the students will be well on their way to completing their projects, you are expected to point out ideas, help them brainstorm, discuss with them plot and character development to take them from almost done, to ready for publication. You have one of the most important responsibilities in our publishing program because you will have the opportunity to inspire, motivate, and impassion young men and women to reach far beyond their self-restricted possibilities. It will be you, who will help them believe that there are no limits and the possibilities are endless if they would only connect the dots, understanding that grammar, sentence structure, penmanship, thought development, brainstorm and writing outlines are not just words spoken in the classroom, but into the boardrooms of their future as our leaders.
What will you get from this experience?
As a Guest Author, you will be noted indefinitely on our website with a personal page noting your participation in the educational publishing program. This is an excellent way to advertise your books and projects. As long as the expectation of our signed mutual agreement is upheld, you will have a standing place and title as Guest Author on our website.
Another exciting benefit to partnering with UWP LLC as a Guest Author is that you will have the opportunity to market and publicize your books by bringing them with you. You will be able to share with the community, parents and staff participants of the Educational Publishing Program your passion and may even create new fans and readers of your work that wouldn’t have been there before.
You will be working with and helping students to become everything they can be. To prepare for state standardized exams and class expectations by building on their knowledge and seeing the necessity for reading, writing and literature by the functional use of these skills while preparing to become published authors.
This will include:
- A short bio and photo
- One jpg image of your most recent publication
- Your contact information that includes your contact information
- If your work is available through Barns & Nobles and Amazon there will be a link
- Email and Website address
Will I be paid for my participation as a Guest Author?
Yes! You will receive an honorarium of $100 dollars per day for your time with total approximately $50 dollars per hour (per site visited) in addition to all the invaluable benefits tangibly and intrinsically listed above.
